Heads in the Sand
Definitely one of the most animated blogging heads in recent memory. Both you and ross leave frame and move around quite a bit. Too bad you did talk about what Ross's Pinochet tolerance level is, although maybe it is tired subject at this point. Thanks for fixing the zoom, nice teeth.
The point about the strategic use of anachronisms etc is a good one and since Mel is a fairly unsubtle character, in life and art, I think your analysis is spot on (as ross concedes later on) . Oddly enough it reminded me of Red Dawn (the John Milius masterpiece) when the invading Russian and Cuban commanders told their soldiers to find the list of gun owner licenses at the police station so that they could round up the NRA members (From My Cold Dead Hands ...)
