"2007 is all about Caron Butler."
If the NBA had an award for Best Utterly Average Player, I think Caron would win it this year. He's quite good for a not especially good player.
Tressel was absolutely right to go for it on 4th down, but the play calls on both 3rd and 4th down were awful. We're supposed to believe that the best idea when you need one yard is to run straight ahead into the same line that just dropped your guy for no gain on that last play?
That said, Ted Ginn is apparently the most valuable wide receiver in the history of college football, Troy Smith just demoted himself to the CFL, and OSU's and Michigan's bowl meltdowns were so insane that they actually caused Wisconsin to drop one spot in the rankings -- after a bowl win -- just for being in the Big 10 with them. What a bunch of jokers. Anyway, basketball.
supported Jim Tressel going for it on 4th and 1 at his own 30 during the 2nd quarter last night. He's getting roasted for that decision.
He shouldn't be. They had no answers to Florida's O in the first half, and needed to get back in the game.
I don't agree that Troy Smith killed his draft prospects, as what quarterback doesn't look awful if both tackles take the night off? The Left tackle was particularly and notably non-existent.
yeah, but why'd tressel go for it there, but none of the times in the second half when it made more sense? it became pretty clear he was playing to avoid a blowout in the second half (little good it did), otherwise you start playing four down ball if you want to have any chance of staying in the game.
WTF? If Halle Berry was at your birthday party, you'd know about it!
Gilbert's concerns are not the concerns of other men.

"Sallimo, DC: Gil word has it that Halle Berry was in town for your party. Can you confirm or deny these reports?
Gilbert Arenas: Personally, I didn't see Halle there. So I can't say for sure if she was. I've been told that the party was a great success. I was too busy worrying if everybody was all right."

(OT, but sports related: we want to know if Matthew supported Jim Tressel going for it on 4th and 1 at his own 30 during the 2nd quarter last night. He's getting roasted for that decision.)
