I forgot to link to any articles about it, but it's pretty hilarious that Etan Thomas and Brendan Haywood keep getting into fights. One always wishes that somehow Thomas' mind, heart, or spirit could be transplanted into Brendan Haywood's body. He looks like a very good center, but sure doesn't play like it. I dunno how many times the fans have been reduced to incoherent rage watching him blow a layup when he could have dunked it.

Al: Did you see the recent Wiz post on DC Sports Bog? Gilbert says he meant that he was going to get 50 next meeting. And then he takes a shot at LeBron: LeBron doesn't want the ball in his hands for big shots.
Actually, I just read that 5 minutes ago, SCMT (I was trying to get a little more backstory on this Eddie Jordan/Gilbert controversy). I noticed a bunch of the commenters there were like "time for Gil to shut up". I don't think insulting LeBron is really the way to go - especially since LeBron beat them TWICE on last second shots in last year's playoffs. Did Gil forget that???
no comment on Gil's 50 point prediction against Portland and how he, er, fell a bit short
Guess the fears about what could happen if he made the All-Star team were reasonable.
yeah, big softie always fails to disappoint...
A modest proposal, Matt: put your sports blogs in a different font, or give them a distinctive type of title (like "Tuesday Sportsblogging: The Battle of the Big Men") so that readers could quickly screen posts without having to read several lines in before figuring out that there isn't (or is) anything of interest.
Did Gil forget that???
I think Arenas is doing his very best to forget how LeBron punked him into missing his free throws last year. Did we ever find out what LeBron said to him?
Barry: there are separate RSS feeds for sports and non-sports content -- check the footer.
He looks like a very good center, but sure doesn't play like it.
That reminds me of Michael Cage back in the day. That dude was built like a god. Couldn't play for shit.
Better yet, put the entire content of the blog entry into the title. Then we would only have to read the titles, thus saving precious minutes.
slump or no slump, i urge you to keep up the basketball blogging. i wouldn't be able to live in a world in which george w bush gets precedence over gilbert arenas. ;)

Phew. I thought Matthew's basketblogging was mysteriously disappearing now that the 'Zards are slumping. But no comment on Gil's 50 point prediction against Portland and how he, er, fell a bit short... or how Gil got PO'd when Eddie Jordan tried to make defense a bit more of a focus...
