Did You Know...

... that the new location of Big Monkey Comics on 14th and Riggs is now open for business? The difference between the closest comic book shop being seven blocks from my house versus the closest comic book shop being in Georgetown should be considerable. Bad news for my personal finances.

UPDATE: Now that my neighborhood's getting all nerded-up with comic books, the Post reminds the truly hip to head to 13th and H Northeast.

What comics do you read?

~ 5 years ago, I lived near 13th and H. I don't recall it being trendy then.

When I was a kid, Geppi's Comic World in Silver Spring was where it was 100% at. Plus, Geppi owns a sliver of the Orioles so I have some vain hope that shopping there will help them sign some better outfielders.

Frankly, I'm a little worried about what happens to my beloved Mt. Pleasant when they finish all that development around Columbia Heights.

Maybe there'll be enough condo space so that the people who have to live right by Target can all just live in the condos, leaving Mt. P just like it is.

Nothing good!

Man.

Do you know the Absorbascon?

It's the blog of the owner of Big Monkey Comics, and it is frequently hilarious.

You might be interested in his frequent comments on Hal Jordan.

If comics affect your personal finances in any noticeable way, you need to do something about your personal finances.
