Carl Connetta notes that for the first time since 1993, we now have a poll indicating that a plurality of people think we spend too much on the military and the department of defense.

Wow. This is stunning. Here I thought they'd effectively bamboozled the masses, and the masses turns out to be way smarter than you'd think...

It's only a plurality. So, the masses are still a bunch of bamboozlees.

Yeah, but on spending "too much/about right/too little", the plurality is the key figure, right? And that's pretty strong -- 43 pct "too much" vs. 20 pct "too little". I don't know, I'm thinking it may be time to put that "You Can't Fool the Working Man" Workers/Farmers Party bumper sticker back on the car...

Great! A plurality opinion of the American people will, of course, be taken into account by our government. No?
