There was a rant about this by Kos yesterday.
It's also odd strategy. Lieberman carries baggage. Now the netroots are going to be more emotionally invested in unseating Collins. Maine is a small state. Dinky donations to Tom Allen would pack more punch. 3K$ plate dinners may be negated by people like me who are relatively indifferent to moderate GOP senators from Maine, but would relish a chance to stick it to Holy Joe.

Heads in the Sand
It's kind of ironic, in a pathetic sort of way, that Lieberman has taken Bill Clinton to task for instances of poor character, yet he has now stabbed Clinton in the back despite the loyalty he displayed toward Lieberman during the primary. Apparently, character is an evanescent trait to that sanctimonious fool.
