Oenophiles Beware!

... normal people find you kind of annoying.

But if you don't care about that, and just love wine so damn much, or even if you don't really care about wine but harbor yuppie aspirations that make you want to seem like you're a wine lover, you should check out the new wine blog my friend and former roommate Jeff is coauthoring. I kind fall in between Matt's characterizations. I really love wine, but I can't be bothered to remember anything about -- names, vintages, whatever. It's a bit of a stretch to even remember the different types of wines (varietals, in douche-speak).

What does this make me? A drunk?

Yeah, well, whatever. I'm sure all of you people posted how much you love you some Budweiser in the beer post. I'm sure you can drink whatever you like with a total lack of sensory organs in your mouth.

I, for one, am glad of the link. I find the blog robust and forthright, with notes of cherry and autumn, and a light earthy finish.

I'm afraid that while I share your politics (and often share your posts with friends) I've never shared your enthusiasm for hoops... but wine, now, there's something I can get into...

You might want to check out a site some friends of mine are doing. It's pretty silly - the basic premise is there's this ball-cap-wearing, car-repairing, trash-talking jerk who reviews wine. Hence its name: http://wineass.com/
