The best flight attendants are in Reykjavik.
If only you had been around when Posin's was in business. (Missouri & Georgia; closed around 1996.) The deli was pretty lousy, but the bakery was tops. (The good deli was Hofberg's, when it was on the DC line.) I grew up in DC and lived my adult life in NY, so I know something about bagels. What I would give for one of Posin's again!
The problem with Delta is that their planes are designed for people with 34" waists. As a 6'3" 210 lb guy, I refuse to fly on them again.
Delta does have good flight attendants, though the young hot ones are on the Delta Connection flights (the regional jets flown by Delta affiliates ASA and Comair). Mainline Delta hasn't hired many new flight attendants since 9/11 (and many hired in the few years prior were furloughed). But Delta Connection is still pulling in the girls just out of college.
Here's a fun fact I learned from a Delta flight attendant I dated, most of the single female FAs go out and buy themselves cheap engagement rings. The theory is male passengers hit on both single women and married women, but no one bothers to hit on engaged women.
Who cares about the flight attendants? I stopped flying Delta six years ago, after a Delta flight with the tightest seat pitch (distance between your seat and the seat in front of you) by far that I've ever experienced, before or since.
If you're an average-sized guy, and there's barely room for your tray table to open, it would take a passel of supermodel flight attendants in minuscule bikinis to compensate for that on a 2-hour flight.
Matt,
You are obviously starving since you seem unable to find food to satisfy your delicate NYC palate. How did you ever survive Cambridge for so long? Go back to NYC, if for no other reason so you can get something to eat.

I heard Singapore.

The best, though, are in Montreal.
(Bagels, that is: not sure about flight attendants.)
