"inconsistent stories"

Heee. So, that's what it's called when a Democrat lies! Too funny.

So neither of the two Dem front-runners who voted for the war read the NIE beforehand? Maybe before allowing Senators to vote on future bills of similar importance (e.g., the current immigration bill) they should be required to pass a test based on knowledge of the supporting documents.

That there are inconsistent stories tells anyone everything they need to know: Edwards wasn't one of the six who did read it. If he had, it would be a huge brag, almost on the order of Obama's (or Dean's ) early opposition. Instead, he got a briefing from Shrum.

This really is an important point, both for how seriously each made their decision on this most serious of matters, and how they screen information. Even at the Presidential level, there are times to take a deep dive--and one of the most important qualities is that they sense, that they know, when to do that. A person who didn't read the unabridged version has, at least once, failed that test.

Here is the latest noise coming from the edwards camp on this poit:

Senator Edwards only supported the presidents iraq policy to get a first hand insight into the tragedy of war and to help him better understand how to prevent such a mistake from ever happen again.

Pimp Hand:

That was actually a funny. Nice work.
