I couldn't help but wince when Giuliani said during the last debate that he took his faith seriously. Come on, do you think we're stupid? Even I know that Catholicism forbids divorce.

Also, you seem to mention CW every 6 or 7 months. Some kind of under-the-table deal with the Lilienthal family? Extra camp stores?

I just realized the parallels between Johnny Boy, Tony, and AJ Soprano + Howie, Phil,and Andy Lilienthal are astounding. You might even plausibly extend a parallel between the forgotten Bob Lilienthal and Janice. This is genius. And you are the only person I can talk to about this at the moment. Unk Paul -> Silvio. Unk Jim -> Christopher. Doug Hill -> Paulie Walnuts?...This is unbelievable, I can't believe I never thought of this. And Lynn as Carmela. My god.

As if - what exactly - this matters?

You see: although the kewl mayor type is the adulterous douchebag who humiliated his ex-wife so badly in public it will be the Clintons' marriage on trial (she's a dyke you understand, or at least a dope for putting up with him). Although Giuliani is a corrupt sob (HUD-gate, Harding-gate, Kerik-gate and a whole lot else), it will be Mrs. Clinton's alleged misdeeds from the 1990s on trial next year. Although Giuliani is a scary authoritarian Hillary Clinton will be pegged by the media as the one who wants to take away all your rights. And although Giuliani has changed his position on a whole bunch of things to kiss the ass of the wingnut base of the GOP (come to think of it I doubt there is a Republican who is not an evil crank) it will be Clinton who is portrayed as the phoney.

I just have to say thay my Jew camp website has way, way, way, groovier photos than Matt's. Do you know that we had a counselor named Sandy who called herself Ood Bodhi and always wore orange because it reminded her of the sun? At a Jew camp! Ah, those were the days.
