Fred Thompson's un-campaign has signed up Tim Griffin as a consultant of some sort. Griffin, you may recall, did a brief stint as US Attorney for Arkansas as part of a secondary plotline in the purge affair.

What raff said. The implicit purpose of giving Rove's opposition research a US Attorney's job in Arkansas was ... to stir up dirt on the Clintons.
It's much worse than just being a second-line story.
I'm far more worried by this sort of thing:
Democrats in America are evenly divided on the question of whether George W. Bush knew about the 9/11 terrorist attacks in advance. Thirty-five percent (35%) of Democrats believe he did know, 39% say he did not know, and 26% are not sure.
The morons against inter-racial dating, and the morons who think the sun goes around the earth aren't doing a lot of harm. The large minority of "truthers" in the Democratic party though? That's a real problem.
One I doubt we'll see Matt address this century.
Can you prove Bush did not know about it in advance? No? Well then how can you compare it to a heliocentric solar system? One is an unlikely but possible scenario, the other isn't true at all.
More to the point, you likely don't know enough about the survey: what did the respondants mean by "knew in advance" - did they mean he was a conspirator, or that he should have known, was warned, etcetera? And how many people respond to any George Dubya question with the (very nearly justified) reponse that he is evil incarnate, and culpable for all tragedies?
The large minority of "truthers" in the Democratic party though? That's a real problem.
Really? How? If more people gave George Bush a "fair shot" we'd all be better off?

The Tim Griffin who was also Karl Rove's aide & protege?
Perhaps Griffin is debuting in his new role as Rove's foot-in-the-door.
