Spencer Ackerman locates an al-Qaeda in Mesopotamia leader who wants the US to stay in Iraq and help fight the "real enemy," Iran. Joe Lieberman needs to give this guy a call.

America and Al Qaida--a synergy of interests.

Not really surprising. As no one in the media ever remembers, the Taliban once declared a Jihad against Iran, and Iran was a primary supporter of anti-Taliban factions. It's one of those facts that disturb the neocon world view and have to be pushed aside.

It would be amusing indeed if the neocons start quoting Abu Sarhan as another reason to stay :)

Spencer Ackerman didn't locate this guy, you twit. He read about him in the newspaper.

Hey, the Bush administration's Iran policy was predicted years ago in this comic book from 1952!

If W rather than FDR had been president at the time of Pearl Harbor, he would have responded by declaring war on Japan, Germany, and the Soviet Union . . .

If W rather than FDR had been president at the time of Pearl Harbor, he would have responded by declaring war on Japan, Germany, and the Soviet Union . . .

And if Pat Buchanan had been president he'd have declared war on only one of them. Nobody stranger than people.

Actually, this is what Churchill wanted to do when the Soviets annexed eastern Poland..... Imagine what the world would be like if he had succeeded. Fortunately, the utter stupidity of a demagogue like Hitler saved the day for democracy.
