Kimberly Kagan writes that the surge is working in The Wall Street Journal. It keeps being funny each time this happens. Is the conservative media machine really so short on wannabe apologists for Iraq at this point that it can't find enough non-Kagans to write about the Kagan-authored escalation scheme.

Get Us Some More Kagans

If the Kagans really supported the Iraq War, they'd be having more babies in order to increase the number of war supporters. Indeed, that seems like the first step towards a Kagan-approved Iraq policy: more Kagan fucking.
OK - its past time for some "How many Kagans does it take to keep the US in Iraq" jokes...
Maybe Kagans is what happens when neocon policies start failing on a visibly large scale.
You know, like when yeast is deprived of oxygen it starts fermenting? When things get really bad for the Right you get a spell of Kagans.
My roommate got Kagans from a girl he met on spring break. Wars of Choice broke out all over, but he went to the clinic and got a shot before they could surge and make him miss work. Always wrap up.
[I'm heartily sorry for this joke]
Do we really know that all these Kagans are related? Perhaps in an homage to the Nation of Islam of old, neo-cons in good standing are shedding their surnames, replacing them with "Kagan"--which, after all, is less jarring than "X".
I, for one, would be willing to spend real money to buy the prison memoir, "The Autobiography of Richard B. Kagan."
Some are Kagan by marriage, some such as David Rivkin, by de facto adoption.
Evidently the Kagans are a dime a dozen. I would like to take this moment to call for the elimination of the dime as US legal tender.
How many Kagans does it take to screw in a light bulb?
One to describe how well it is going, one to say how marvelous the room will look when it is well-lit, and one to tell the workmen that with enough force, the bulb can be screwed directly into the ceiling plaster.
That neo-conservative rag, the BBC, is saying the same thing.

emr, what?! this is the only statement by the BBC's John Simpson in the linked article:
According to BBC world affairs editor John Simpson, the debate is moving so fast in Washington that Gen Petraeus's efforts, which might have saved the day for the Bush administration if they had been introduced three, or even two, years ago, may well have come too late.
Kagans! Kagans! I got Kagans crawling under my fucking skin! Help!

Do Kristols count as Non-Kagans?
