It's a rare day when you eat goat for lunch and dinner, but it's tasty!

I'm going to nominate this comment for the first ever Ralph Wiggums Award, which is to be bestowed on any blog posting which descends to Wiggums-like levels of vapidity and naivete, a la this one.

Yes! I myself recently tried goat for the very first time and was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was.

Cuisine? Restaurant locations? Recipes? We want details!

Goat with pilaf made in the oven is very very very tasty.

Jamaican-style "curry goat" - the best.

Best with dal and chapatis.

If you're ever up in NYC over the weekend, during the summer, I highly recommend going out to the Red Hook Soccer Fields and getting yourself a goat taco from the stand on the far left. "Barbacoa" is the word to use. So damn good. Who knew how good stewed goat could be?

In these parts, so to speak, barbacoa is grilled and/or smoked cow's head. not bad. or is it.

Could it be that the goat meals are stimulating the horns that underlie visits to L.N.S? Or it is the other way around?

I'd eat goat cheese, but that's about it.

I'm going to guess Indian and/or Caribbean.

My first guess was Mexican, followed by those. (Oddly enough, if you Google Mexican + goat, guess who's blog is the very first hit? I wouldn't have thought MY had a goat obsession, but what do I know?)

On the other hand, lampwick now makes me wonder whether there was any paste in the recipe. . .

I don't have any problem eating goat; after all, a goat wouldn't have any problem eating me . . .

Mexican cabrito (roast young goat) is a culinary delight. Interestingly, according to Wikipedia, it is based on the Jewish cuisine of the founders of Monterrey, Mexico, which is not something I ever heard growing up in South Texas. Was this one or both of your meals?

My aversion to goat stems from the time my parents inexplicably bought a goat for us to raise. It loved to butt me and my brother in our 10 and 8 year old butts. The solution was a visit from the buthcher. But Billy didn't taste so good either.

What a coinkidinck -- I ate goat for both lunch and dinner yesterday as well! Well ... more precisely, I ate goat for third meal and a late post-shabbos supper (I had egg-salad and various other typical synagogue kiddush-luncheon delights for lunch).

I finally figured out where to get goat (is Hallal close enough to Kosher?) here in Tally!

Man... how limited are your palettes when anything beyond beef, chicken, or pork becomes "ewww, gross!" Seriously, people, there are zillions of animals out there that make for tasty meat. And ones like goats have been raised for their meat by large swaths of humanity for the past few millennia or so.
