I'd been wondering when the new Bowers/Stoller blog would emerge. It's here. Read this post on the vast mystery of what it is the "Big Three" Democratic candidates are trying to say about force levels in Iraq under a Democratic administration.

No story, I think. Just an opportunity that opened up for Bowers and Stoller.
Anyways, I don't really care about residual forces at this stage of the game. Political pressure in Congress should be focused on legitimizing the withdrawal approach. Once a strong bill for that actually passes or is about to pass, then we can actually start worrying about the detailed specifics of the plan. Discussion now is mostly posturing and premature.
Korha, is that a joke?
washerdryer -- I haven't been a regular reader of MyDD in years, but from what I gather Stoller and Bowers had a falling out of sorts with Jerome Armstrong. It may have something to do with Jerome's repeated sniping at Obama.
Bowers and Stoller have both sniped at Obama (hell, Stoller snipes at everyone) so that's unlikely. And Jerome snipes at Obama supporters more than he actually does at Obama. I think they just wanted to do something different, putting more emphasis on working outside the Democratic Party than within.

As someone who is only vaguely aware of MyDD and blogs to which it is closely related, I hadn't been waiting for a new Bowers/Stoller blog because I didn't know that there had been any change with regards to the old one. Have they departed from it? Is there a story there?
