Absurd as it may be to blog from one's phone it's got to be less absurd than the fact that my gym has wifi on the the workout area.
Of course once you become a professional blogger you're already through the technological looking glass anyway.

The wifi in the workout area is just bleed through from the wifi in the locker room area. And wifi in the locker rooms is absolutely essential for my "live cameraphone action of Yglesias naked" blog.
Post some picture of lesbians working out in the gym.
How can tell if they're lesbians?
Absurd as it may be to blog from one's phone ... once you become a professional blogger ... Let's just stow the snark for a split second and acknowledge that neat slice of the zeitgeist. It's cool. Give it up.
How can tell if they're lesbians? c-c-c-c-cccc-cat fight!
I suppose wifi in the gym would mean you could surf the web on a laptop balanced on a treadmill or exercycle or something. I used to watch movies that way, but have gone back to old-fashioned reading. The ability to read something interesting is all that keeps me from getting bored in a gym, though I think I'll stick with books and magazine articles. It's a great way to skim over a report you might never get around to otherwise.

My gym also has wifi on the premises, in the small cafe. Weirder though is the food fare in this cafe. The gym is attached to a hospital known locally for preventative health care and a prominent community presence in the area of diet/exercise and smoking cessation. However just about everything served is first fried and then dipped in cheez-whiz. Yuck. Personally I think it's a device to supply the cardio division with business.
