Flying to Boise

27 Aug 2007 05:48 pm

Important followup quasi-reporting on the Larry Craig story below: According to Travelocity, you can't fly direct from DC to Boise. Connections are available via Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, or Denver, but the Minneapolis connections are faster than the alternatives. So it's not like Senator Craig was going to the Minneapolis airport just for the purpose of "lewd conduct."

That explains everything then. I thought the airline industry was at fault.

Hey,

You got to do something during those long layovers.

And General JC Christian has explained many times how even a completely heterosexual man can end up in a compromising postion in a public restroom. And there's no law that says that they have to be Republicans -- it just seems that way.

Why didn't he pull a McCain (no, not that way) and mandate (no not that way) a direct flight home out of National?

Here's what Wikipedia says:

"Craig believes that discharging your weapon is protected by the U.S. Constution."

I guess happiness is a warm gun.

You can't fly directly to Boise from anywhere in the east. You must almost always go through Chicago, Salt Lake, Denver, Minneapolis, or, sometimes, Detroit or Atlanta. Boise has a fairly nice airport but it's certainly a spoke and not a hub.

So what your saying is he didn't go out of his way and its probably part of his daily schedule?

Almost relevant to the thread, but relevant to those with interest in Cuba: the (R) Governor of Idaho went on a Cuban Trade Mission trip. I'd link to his pictures of it, but I hear the posting would get hung up in moderation...anyway, it's on his official site. Doesn't that seem kind of non-boycotty for a Republican?

Matt, meet me at the Minneapolis Airport. You know the stall. Lurv, E.T.
