NFL Season Just Around the Corner

Less than a week 'till the Saints-Colts matchup that kicks of the NFL season, and already the former Soviet republic of Georgia is getting into the mood by having their Republican Party rip off the Houston Texans' logo. Not knowing anything about Georgian political parties, I can say that I don't care for this one's name. Industry Will Save Georgia seems like a cool name for a party.

Are you high today, Matt? Does it make you impenetrably ironic? Because I can't make much sense out of your last two posts. Which, you know, is fun for a Friday before a long weekend. But still.

How strange! And you would have thought that at least they would have ripped off the logo of a winning team.

"Industry Will Save Georgia" is cool, but მრეწველობა გადაარჩენს საქართველოს is that much much cooler.

"Hey, man, have you heard the new Industry Will Save Georgia album?"

"Yeah, but I like the older glitchier stuff better."

The idea of "front man" or "ODed" in this context is highly inappropriate. Bands with names like "Industry Will Save Georgia" are invariably composed of shy, gentle young Canadians who spend all their free time in the library.

How about "Matt Schaub Will Save Georgia"?

Bah, I see I've gotten here too late to put in a shot about Matt Schaub.

Looks like I get to be the one to say, "No, Joey Harrington will save Georgia."

How about "Matt Schaub Will Save Georgia"?

Too late. Now he'll have to save Houston.
