At Long Last

Some say the campaign season has become too long, but I say that it's just now gotten long enough to treat us to the spectacle of John Edwards and Gideon Yago on camera together, discussing the issues.

When I first saw a picture of you, I thought you were Gideon Yago. I'm still not convinced this is not the case.

Have you ever seen the two of them in the same place at the same time?

Ok, this is a bald-faced threadjack (and ripe for deleting, I guess)...but there are only two comments here, so I don't feel so bad.

Ron Rosenbaum wrote a Slate piece about Mearsheimer and Walt's book on the Israel lobby. Now, I'm not smart, but you all are and I'd be very interested in hearing opinions about the article.

Basically, I am seeing more than a little dishonesty in Rosenbaum's discussion of the fear of a "2nd Holocaust" in light of the fact that he doesn't really define what that would actually look like. If it is anything like the industrialized mass murdering of jewish people in WW II, I think that that would be highly improbable. If it is the targeting jewish people as a group for murder (Rosenbaum doesn't like the term ethnic - I think, betraying his own elitism), well haven't we had successive waves of Holocausts around the world up to and including in Iraq...like, as I write this...right this second.

Anyhow, sorry about this. I'll shut up now.
