Bush just announced new sanctions against Myamar at the U.N.
I know you'll catch snark-hell for it, but over the weeks that I've been following your blog I've genuinely appreciated the fact that you'll admit that some stories merely strike you as interesting or noteworthy and that you don't have any particular big ideas to express on them. It's very refreshing.
Not to worry, neither event is that important in the scheme of things. What is potentially important is the health care deal the UAW will agree on after this bit of theater for the benefit of its rank & file.
As the Post article indicates, the strike has nothing to do with health care benefits, which they already are agreed on.
You are always saying how great unions are. So why don't you have anything to say about the strike? That's what unions do, after all.
In general, I would love to read more about how you would try to convince a union-skeptic like me why I should support more laws favoring unions. I honestly find your position hard to understand, even though I agree with you about most other things.

As good a blog title as I've ever seen -- oh, wait, that was just your post's title? My bad.
