Phony Soldiers

28 Sep 2007 01:12 am

Rush Limbaugh calls anti-war troops "phony soldiers." One wonders if he's literally doubting the existence of such people, and thus proving himself to be an idiot, or metaphorically doubting their authenticity as soldiers, thus proving himself to be morally contemptible. Both are, obviously, plausible end-states for Rush.

I'm sure that any soldier who calls in and disagrees with Limabugh or the war is in fact not a soldier, unless they actually serve in the military in which instance, they're fifth columnist traitors!

Wasn't that easy?

Rush is just stating the real meaning behind the entire "Support our troops!" slogan: "Support the Republican troops who agree with me --- Screw the other 'phony' troops."

In fact, can we get some yellow ribbon magnets made up that say that, just so it is clear?

The soliders have always just been props to people like Limbaugh -- and this proves it.

Anyway, I'm sure if a Democrat said "The pro-war troops are just phony soldiers," the media would have the same (non)reaction that they will probably have to this statement by Rush. Right? You know, because the media are 'liberal.'

For Chrissakes, Yglesias, dig a little deeper than Media Matters before you pontificate and slander someone.

Start here. We await your retraction.

Your News Blog is such a joke. All you had to do is go to his website and confirm the remarks. Either you do not have the ability to accurately gather facts and report OR you are bias making your Blog pointless for information. Most of all, you should have known this wasn't true! Rush Limbaugh is the biggest supporter of the military and their family. This is just another example of the drive-by media and brings your party down another notch. Semper Fi

Mr. Limbaugh finished telling some guy that he can't be a real Republican if he wants out of Iraq.

Rush said that soldiers that want America out of Iraq are "Phony Soldiers"... I and anyone with an Internet connection can hear it for themselves.

Pretty spooky stuff this creeping American fascism now you people are telling me what I "should" have heard... give me a break.

Let's hope that Americans are as not as stupid or partisan as you play them for.
