I really don't see why Matt would be in favor of talks when he is fine with Iran just having the bomb. In fact, under Matt's thinking, we should just give them the bomb. Then maybe Iran could put some pressure on the Israelis whose perfidy is stopping the Palestinains from becomming the Sweden of the Middle East.
Dave, I like to think that if Iran having the bomb was as bad as you argue, Israel would have already destroyed Iran in its entirety.
Who could stop them? Do you know any Shia with ballistic missile submarines? Or a few SS-18s lying around?
Because I doubt the Sunnis would, in the end, care all that much.
Yes, such a move would kill millions of people. But that is precisely why the Israeli, and for that matter American, British, French, Russian, and Chinese strategic deterrents were built in the first place.
The disgusting thing about people like Dave is their willingness to decide not only what they think, but what everyone else thinks.
Actually stooping so low as to ask what someone thinks is beneath them.
It's much more fun to just put words in someone's mouth, then act all high and mighty about denouncing them.
I've been trying to get Matt to come down on exactly whether he thinks Iran has a nuclear weapons program, and if so, whether military action would be justified.
He has mightily refused to say anything specific about that at all. He evades the issue more than Hillary Clinton does. We KNOW she's a hawk.
But for Dave, Matt already loves Iran, loves Iran's bomb, and probably, to quote Josh Marshall, "despises Jews."
This makes Dave a moron.
Richard Steven Hack beat me to it. I happen to know that Dave thinks having bathroom sex is just fine.

Does this make him naive?
