Breaking news from Edward Pound at National Journal -- it seems HUD Secretary Alphonso Jackson is under investigation by the FBI, a situation that a lot of Republicans are familiar with these days but that still surely counts as noteworthy.

Jackson, Johnson, whatever. [Insert joke about Matthew not being able to tell "black names" apart.]
It's Jackson. The mistake was mine, not Matt's. Not sure what the appropriate joke it in this case.
Ryan gets excited when he thinks about investigating Johnsons.
Ehhh, try again.
From the link, it seems the matter under investigation is something wholly separate from Jackson's infamous admission that he refused to grant a contract to an applicant who had badmouthed President Bush. Since he seems to have gotten off scot-free for the latter, I wish the FBI the best of fortune in investigating these new allegations.
Newsworthy? Not really. Someone should write a story about an honest Republican. That would be newsworthy, assuming an honest Republican can be found to write about.
Johnson is a black name? Wow - that's news to my Johnson.
No wonder LBJ got the Civil Rights Act passed.

Get ready for another round of 'Democrats are racist' if they decide to make hay out of the Johnson investigation.
