Rudy Giuliani's law firm gets sued by Virgil Waggoner over allegations that Giuliani's partner, Kenneth Caruso, "conspired with Waggoner’s investment adviser to cover up the disappearance of $10 million Waggoner invested through a Caribbean bank, the British Trade & Commerce Bank." Obviously, though, Giuliani would never associate with folks involved in shady dealings. Well, sure, there was the case of mobbed up Bernard Kerik who Giuliani installed as chief of the NYPD and tried to get put in charge of the country's homeland security, but beyond that and this one priest involved in child abuse how many other shady associates does the man have?

I say vote the crazy bastard into office. Let him invade Iran, ignore global warming, round up and deport a few million illegal immigrants (that'll go over real well in the hospitality and agriculture industry) and repeal a few Constitutional Amendments. The U.S. experiment is now the moldy pizza at the back of the fridge nobody wants to touch but is too lazy to clean up or throw away. Here's hoping a few million more fools enlist and get incinerated in this (or some other) fool's errand, some new failed Crusade to impose Christianity, Walmart and the cult of Ronald Reagan on a heathen Muslim horde. Our whole goddamned house of cards needs to tumble. Giuliani would be just the guy to kick it over.
To Steve Duncan:
Are you kidding? Are you proposing anarchy?
Are you proposing anarchy
That's mere anarchy, loosed on the world as Guiliani, his hour come round at last, slouches toward Bethlehem to be born . . .
Now, excuse me--I have a falcon to catch . . .
Matt--
It's a feature, not a bug.
I don't know if we're ready for another acronym to explain why Republicans say/do things that don't seem to make sense (on the heels of IOKIYAR to explain hypocrisy), but IAFNAB does explain these disconnects (bring democracy to the Middle East by destabilizing Iraq? Help the economy by exacerbating income inequality? Protect the environment through voluntary compliance? You get the idea...)
Well, now, that's a juvenile post. Giuliani's law firm is quite large. Lots of partners in lots of cities. It's a reputable firm. And could you tell us how you know already how the suit will turn out?

Funny how you never heard anyone on the right say that about the Rose Firm, ten years ago . . .

I thought the statements about the Rose law firm were not about some random person who happened to be a partner there, but rather about Hillary Clinton herself and about the Clintons' friend Webb Hubbell (who became #3 in DOJ). Was there some other Rose partner involved who Hillary had nothing to do with? (Could be - it is so long ago, I don't really recall.)
My bad - I actually read the linked story and it appears that Caruso is more than just a random partner in the firm - he actually does have other, personal ties to Giuliani.
That said, anybody can sue anybody for anything. The filing of a lawsuit is a pretty weak smear by The Politico.
Showing how little many know, steve duncan says: Let him... round up and deport a few million illegal immigrants (that'll go over real well in the hospitality and agriculture industry)
Actually, like the Dems, Ruuuudy is a strong supporter of businesses profiting from illegal activity and related forms of corporatism. He claims he'd stop future illegal immigration, but he's a supporter of amnesty for those here now.
As for Ruuuudy's law firm, here's a more substantial issue. As with illegal immigration, don't expect the Dems to highlight that issue; it might cost powerful people money.

These kinds of stories aren't going to get traction with the people in middle America. They want to know more about Hillary Clinton's real estate deals. Much more!
