Could yesterday's discussion of Mims and formal logic possibly get nerdier? Yes, it could! Just consider these Mims-related venn diagrams.

This seems more retarded than nerdy, as it construes "because" as the material conditional. It's the sort of pretentiousness that can only be achieved when someone doesn't really know what they're talking about.

Clicked on the link to see this Mims thing was the number 1 song in America. I never heard of it before. Must be getting old.

You obviously haven't seen "rap represented in mathematical charts and graphs" at the above link.

If you click on one link all year, this is the one.

I give up -- what does MIMS stand for? I believe that, as a courtesy to one's readers, the first time one uses an acronym one should spell it out for the uninitiated. I didn't see the acronym expanded in the previous MIMS discussion either...

Please tell me you're joking, beowulf. Failing that, click through the second link, as one should do before complaining that things are not explained.

MIMS - Music is My Savior.

That is why I'm hot.

And this is why you're not.

Yay Venn diagrams! Because, you know, pure logic can never go wrong.

Article was posted March 13th, 2007. Way, way too late to the game.

OT: Hey - MY in the NYT (on the new Nordhaus and Shellenberger 'environmentalists are silly poopyheads' book).

Christ, why are y'all still talking about this stale hack (MIMS, not MY, if you're keeping score)? Also, I do believe a former Phil has something to say about this...
