Romney is the Republican's best candidate this year.
And with economic issues being the deciding factor in November he could easily win agianst a less exeperienced Democrat, one the voters would have to take a real gamble on.
Romney/Bloomberg '08!
Campaign motto:
'Don't worry; we'll pick up the tab!'
"a less exeperienced Democrat"
Hmm, I'm sure we have no idea who you could be talking about.
Depending on the poll, between 45 and 60 percent of voters say they won't vote for Romney. He's rather quickly become a synonym for "flip-flopping phony."
I actually saw a Mitt Romney bumper sticker in DC today. Very strange.
It's over for Guliani. Even in a primary state like Michigan, he actually does even worse than in the caucuses.
I wish the story was "Ron Paul Takes 2nd" but 13% isn't all that much with such a relatively small turnout.
The nomination is between Romney and McCain now. Huckabee may win SC but his Christianism and the sales tax proposal make his job harder. He doesn't have much appeal in blue states. Even in red states he probably maxes out under 40%.

I do think Mitt will emerge as their consensus candidate. He's conservative and presentable enough to please everyone in that party.
