Chris Matthews just said it was fitting that Fred Thompson's campaign has Bud at its South Carolina HQ because his campaign has a "clydesdale quality" to it, "slow and steady . . . traditional."

Oh. Mah. Gawd.
Much like a bottle of Budweiser, it looked appealing on TV, but turned out to be pretty much watered-down and tasteless in reality...
Rudy's gotta be the Coors light candidate. Lots of testosterone in the commercials, dog piss upon closer examination.
If Thompson were any more slow and steady he would be indistinguishable from the space-time continuum.
Did anyone see the new Giuliani campaign ad - "Cloverfield"?
I always pegged Fred as a "Let it be Lowenbrau" kind of guy.

Yes, but whereas for years Coors wasn't sold east of the Mississippi, Giuliani doesn't sell anywhere.
As for Fred, my money's on Hamm's.

Classic, lampwick!
Matthews is so stupid.....
What this means is that either the local Bud distributor made an "in kind" donation to the Thompson campaign or that the Thompson campaign staff is so effin' stupid that they spent cash money on beer.
Thompson had "bud" at his party? Righteous -- maybe I'll vote for him now. Was it all sticky and green or was he smoking the more downscale brown Mexican bud?

His campaign is horseshit, I agree.
