Bush just called for bipartisan cooperation on solutions. Clearly, he's no more a real conservative than Barack Obama is a real liberal.

Also, look at the ties on Bush and Cheney. Perhaps he is a traitor.
Pelosi, in her usual helpful manner, splits the difference between them.
Actually both are compassionate conservatives.
Obama is a centrist like Bush is a compassionate conservate.
"bipartisan cooperation" == "do it my way, or else".
I call on all Americans to pull my finger.
Clearly, he's no more a real conservative than Barack Obama is a real liberal.
Matt, you live in a bubble. Otherwise you'd know that a lot of the right has been saying that for a very long time.
As much as I think some make too big a deal out of Obama's centrism as an evil, I think you really are making a false comparison. Without doubt, the other Republicans in the same situation as Obama and Clinton, the ones running for the primary nod, aren't saying sh*t about bipartisan coalition building, to their primary electorate.
aren't saying sh*t about bipartisan coalition building
Because they watched Bush try it eight years ago and get kicked in the teeth for his trouble, while accomplishing fairly little of the conservative things they wanted. They know it's bs.
We have two parties and the two parties fight because people in this country have real, sbustantial disagreements about what's the right thing to do.
