Wiz Win!

12 Jan 2008 10:30 pm

The powers that be in the Wizards front office decided that my 21 game ticket package should include neither of DC's home games against the Celtic, and I'm now doubly-pissed that I missed the game when it turns out to be a big upset against the erstwhile top team in the league.

Go Wiz!

Well worth a double post.

The Celtics have lost two out of three. Didn't watch the game (Patriots/Jags was the obvious must watch for us New Englanders) but I'm sensing a bit of a pre All-Star break dip for the Cs.

Matt, earlier I was gonna demand you live-blog this game..and as a real C's fan, I turned on the American football game after the unfortunate result.

Quick analysis: inexplicable collapse at the end, more importantly, Rondo really is a key player. Doc needs to get Gabe Pruitt some minutes, Tony Allen has talent, point guard skills are not among them.

Sloppy slop from the C's tonight. Tony Allen circa January 2007 would've dunked the ball on a 3-on-1; Post-op Tony tries to make the extra pass and hands it to Antonio Daniels. They clearly missed Rondo tonight on both ends of the court. But they're also not rebounding at all. Antawn Jamison had 9 offensive boards, and the Wizards' total was like 50% more than the Celtics'. That's unacceptable.

Didn't they tell you which games you weren't going to attend before you bought the package? Blame yourself for being cheap and not getting the better option.

I write with the voice of experience in this matter...I have done the same thing.

Is this the post for tomorrows Wiz v. Celts? I hope so.

Blatche Power!

And WTF? I wait all season long for Nene to get back. He finally gets back, and now he's dying?

There's no dying in basketball.

Matt, earlier I was gonna demand you live-blog this game

Professional and college sports teams take the position that they own the exclusive rights to broadcasting their games. An attempt to liveblog a game might get Matt thrown out of the arena, or sued.

Rematch.

BTW, terrible news on Bynum. Hate to see a potential NBA/francise changing star get hurt.

Yes, bad news for Bynum. He was having a breakout season. Hope that he gets back before the Lakers are eliminated from playoff contention (that West is gonna be difficult w/o him)...

Also, agree with above re Celtics letdown. Don't forget that the C's were also losing going into the 4th quarter against NJ on Friday, only to have a cold spell in the 4th by the Nets let the Celtics pull out that game - otherwise it could be a 3 game losing streak!
