Dodd will make a fine Secretary of Commerce.
But, I think Obama will get a VP from a red state (such as Evan Bayh). This will also help to bridge the friendship with Clintons.
I'm from Indiana. Please, please, please. No Evan Bayh. He's horrible.

Chris Dodd is, of course, unrepresentative of the Democratic electorate.
He'd make a good VP for Obama, unlike Bayh. Tom Daschle, George Mitchell, or Tim Kaine would also be OK.
this is EXCELLENT NEWS FOR HILARY!!
What he'll make is an excellent Senate Majority Leader and pointman for President Obama in the Senate.
VP will be redstate and not a Clintonite.

That will pad Obama's primary vote total on March 4 by what, a few hundred votes? And I say that as someone who contributed $25 to the Dodd campaign as a token of appreciation for his standing-up in front of Bush's attempt to ram through the telcom immunity provision for FISA.
It would be better, particularly in Dell-based Texas, if the news was "Dude for Obama!"

Dodd is a superdelegate. His vote is worth a thousand times' that of the people voting on March 4th.
buh bye, obama bayh
