Funny stuff. It seems he doesn't follow politics very closely.

DMX on Obama

Let me point this post out for what it is: an attempt to procrastinate on a post pointing out that the Celtics ended the Rockets' streak last night. Not only did they end it, but they DOMINATED them in the second half defensively.
C'mon Matt. Where's the love for Boston sports teams???
Did his momma name him DMX?
Of course, if I hadn't been paying attention to politics the last few years and someone told me a guy with a Kenyan father named Barack Obama had a good shot at becoming president, I'd probably be a little incredulous too.
Hey Matt, when will you blog about the Obama Collapse of '08?
Your candidate is nose-diving, baby.
Don't you feel a little sheepish, naive and gullible?
There's still time to win this thing if we rally behind Hillary.
DMX? Isn't he the Nation of Islam guy who claims Gary Gygax stole his idea for a fantasy-role-playing game?
This actually brings up a point that I haven't seen made, which is to posit how HipHop (the community) and HipHop artists individually come out for (or against) Obama?
DMX, even jokingly, seems to offer a critique that Obama is not black enough (having a white mother as well as an African father who's ancestors are not the survivors of slave trade).
Even so, I anticipate a great wave of support for candidate Obama from the HipHop community and am curious to see how it organizes itself. HipHop, afterall, is the most influential contemporary ambassador of Black America.

That's awfully white of you.
I think, "you can't vote, right?" says it all. Funny how apathy and compromised suffrage go together.
DMX should be pretty embarrassed. What a disgrace.
Jake, the love for Boston sports teams is somewhere in Africa, along with a few thousand 19-0 shirts.
I can't say that surprises me. After all, I haven't a clue who DMX is.
(I thought that was some sort of dirt bike?)
Ha! This only makes me love DMX more.
People, he was joking. Oy.
DMX had a reality show for a bit. He came off as sort of mildly retarded. Most of the show was his handlers keeping him out of trouble.
For those who aren't into action movies like I am, DMX is the star, along with Jet Li, Tom Arnold, Richard Anderson, Kelly Hu, Mark Dacascos, and Gabrielle Union, of "Cradle 2 The Grave".
He's also appeared in many other action movies, like
"Exit Wounds", "Romeo Must Die", and "The Fast and the Furious".
Like most rap stars, he's not a rocket scientist. But he's not a terrible actor, at least for the genre.
obama talked about " shocking ingorance" i think we see a representative of who he was talking about
