Via Spencer Ackerman, a DOD press release in which Capt. David Stewart, commander of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3-7th Infantry Regiment, says "This is an absolute success story." What's the story? Well, chicken farming in Iraq is almost back up to Saddam-era levels. I feel better about the whole thing now.

Can we go home? No. Is there any number of industries reviving to Saddam-era levels that would let us go home? No.
Sooooooo?
The success is irrelevant, and our president is a liar.
Matt's anti-freedom, anti-chicken agenda becomes clearer every day.
Well, of course they've had trouble getting the chicken population back up, what with all the chickenhawks swooping around preying on them.

Were these muslim chickens or shiite chickens? From what I understand, getting those two to live in the same cage is still a problem.
America-haters and defeatists love to harp on all the bad news from Iraq, but you'll never hear them mention all the chicken coops we're painting.
What the good Captain forgot to mention is that the chickens are mutated because of all the depleted uranium in the soil.
It's not that they're growing more chickens, it's that the chickens are 200-pound mutants.
Seriously - this is the best the war crowd can come up with? Chicken farming?

This is a great victory for Iraq's poultry.
