Here's a game for the immigrant-hater in your family, complete with crude and offensive stereotypes.

Wouldn't it be better to ignore (or at least not provide links to) the white supremacist sites?
i hit 31 of 88 wetbacks.
What, no feelthy Cuban boat people?
Kaus spends his free time bashing the El Salvadoran bishop.
Also notice that the United States flag on the "Welcome to the US" sign actually has a Star of David in the field where the 50 stars appear on the real flag.
So it's offensive in several directions.
Had a guy include me on a mass e-mailing with something like this. Then some very crude, racist stuff relating to Obama. Fellow employee in another city. Why I don't know, I never indicated any willingness to enjoy or engage in such BS. Figured if I asked him to exclude me in the future he'd just take but one of dozens of names off his list and keep it up. Fowarded it to HR. They take particular offense to such stuff. Big enough company the less reason anyone has to be talking to lawyers, the ACLU, the NAACP, various internal managers, etc so much the better. That and an actual desire to have a civil workplace. The guy seems a little depressed on the phone when I talk to him. Especially doesn't like the random IT explorations and snapshots of his Outlook program. And the whole probation things a drag. Try it where you work. Throw some sand in the wingnut machine. You'll feel better for it. I do.
downright offensive but I could not help but play it a second time.
Wouldn't be surprised if this was some sort of 'false flag' stunt by a leftwing group like the SPLC.

Yeah, leftwingers like Tom Metzger and White Aryan Resitance over at resist.com.
Wouldn't be surprised if this was some sort of double 'false flag' stunt by a rightwing group pretending to be a leftwing group like the SPLC.

Wouldn't be surprised if 'Juan' is a fat, smelly white supremacist with a small armory in his basement.
66 out of 88.
I feel dirty, yet had fun.
Juan is probably manufacturing ricin in his bedroom closet.
It should go without saying that posts like this reveal how much of a child MattY is. No one who wants to be taken seriously would make "arguments" like the one in the post.
Special request to MattY:
Do you support or condemn DoloresHuerta's recent comments? I guarantee she's got a lot more influence than TomMetzger, considering that she's a co-chair of the Hillary campaign. If you oppose her comments and their implication, what exactly do you intend to do about it?
MattY's readers should note that he has never, to the best of my knowledge, engaged the other side's arguments in an honest fashion. Perhaps at some point in time MattY will become more of an embarrassment to The Atlantic than he's worth.
One interesting aspect is how gunning down a pregnant woman with two children in tow (great game, huh?) gives credit for four kills. While the message isn't exactly... ahem... pro-life, it certainly regards fetuses as people, at least in giving you credit for your efficient mass-murder skills.
Oh, and 66/88

Says the guy who's name links to a site called "lonewacko.com."
No irony there.
62 out of 88. Damn.
The previous question was probably too complex for MattY, so let's try an easier one.
In a speech a couple days ago, BHO promised an "honest conversation" about immigration and then went on to offer a FalseChoice and promote illegal activity.
Does MattY agree that BHO offered a FalseChoice? And, does MattY agree that BHO previously lied about LouDobbs under similar circumstances?
If BHO won't engage the other side's arguments, and has to lie about them, doesn't that indicate that he's not qualified for the job he seeks?
Perhaps at some point in time MattY will become more of an embarrassment to The Atlantic than he's worth.
This is a magazine that publishes Christianist Douthat and security-state libertarian McArdle. They have a high quotient.
Condemn Dolores Huerta for what, exactly? Saying that "we didn't cross the border, the border crossed us"? Are you denying that the US Southwest used to be part of Mexico? My younger brother has a couple of old middle-school history textbooks - I could loan you one.
"FalseChoice"? "LouDobbs"?
Thanks for your contribution, HugeWeirdo.

Lord, forgive me:
LOL!

Did you read the whole story TLB linked to? How about this Dolores quote:
"If 47 million (Latinos) have one baby each ... it's already won."
And just because there were 5,000 or so mexicans in the southwest when the US took it from Mexico doesn't mean that Dolores is being factually correct in saying "we didn't cross the border". In fact, she is utterly wrong for all but a few million hispanic americans descended from those original mexicans.
It should go without saying that posts like this reveal how much of a child MattY is. No one who wants to be taken seriously would make "arguments" like the one in the post.
Duh. I love you TLB. You are my hero, the wind beneath my wings.

How long has your family been in North America?
I wish you hadn't linked to this. I trust you wouldn't link to a lynching game.
No, really, immigrant-bashing isn't about race. This game doesn't exist. /end snark
Classy game. Your link should have a nofollow tag on it, unless you want to drive up their google ranking.
i gotta say, matthew... i don't understand the purpose of actually linking to the game. it's disgusting.
I think I'll keep coming back to the DoloresHuerta comments until MattY comes up with some sort of answer.
To get him started, he can think through whether she's an American or not. That is, does she accept the sovereignty and fundamental principles of the country of which she's a citizen?
When she says "we" in "we didn't cross the border", she's lumping herself in with all other Latinos rather than with the rest of us Americans. The implication is that they're a separate type of nation. And, the implication is that due to one's heritage (blood) one has a right to move to the U.S. at will.
It wouldn't take many questions to get from her statements to portraying them as akin to Blut und Boden or the One Drop rule, and if someone's particularly bold they should ask Hillary about that.
MattY really should have a discussion with his contacts at the DNC about this issue, because I know I'm not the only person in the U.S. who's familiar with these issues and I'm not the only person who's willing to completely discredit politicians and pundits over it.
TLB, get a life. I'm sorry the Mexicans girls didn't go out with you in high school, but can you really blame them?
Does anyone really, actually care about illegal immigration?
What the fuck man, I didn't know I was going to some racist site (how do I clear it out of my cookies?), I thought resist was some kind of anti-racism thing at most. You should at least put some kind of warning. Jeez.
Has TLBs face turned blue yet from holding his breath? What a WATB
There are no immigrant haters in my family. What kind of family do you come from, Matt?
"Angry Sam": I care, but that's because I'm very familiar with everything involved in the issue. And, if most Americans were likewise aware of everything involved in this issue, no one would trust MattY and most current politicians would be out of office.
Thinking through this might prove helpful. It doesn't guage how much people care about the issue, but it does show that most aren't familiar with where their candidates stand on it. If more were familiar, they might switch to other candidates or there might be different candidates entirely.
Matt,
The link you provided was not beneficial to a legitimate discussion on immigration reform. The individual that made this “game” is depraved. Since when does killing women and children become entertainment? Racist elements may be present in the anti-immigration movement- but it is not the only thing driving them. The same is true about people who support comprehensive immigration reform. We are not all “open borders” or “pro-amnesty” types. Those make good bumper stickers but miss the realities of this complex problem.
Our immigration system is broken and needs to be fixed. The laws enacted were never fully enforced and we looked the other way when millions accepted our government and business community’s acquiescence. Other laws and policies, because of their unintended consequences, actually encourage illegal immigration.
I don’t have the answer- it is likely to be painful for all sides. We only begin to fix the problems, however, when we stop yelling at each other and sit down and reason together.

I bet Mickey Kaus plays this when he's not busy making creepy mixtapes for uninterested women.
