I've forgotten to wish everyone a happy Passover. And also, of course, a happy first day of the NBA playoffs. Good thing there are no Jewish players I guess.
UPDATE: Forgot about Jordan Farmar!

Isn't Joakim Noah a quarter Jewish or something?
Who knew? When Farmar suited up and played 13 minutes against the Suns on October 31st he ended an NBA culture drought. A Jewish player had not been on an NBA court since Danny Schayes, son of NBA Legend Dolph Schayes, last suited up for the Orlando Magic in the strike shortened season of 99. http://givemetherock.com/2006/12/23/state-of-jews-in-the-nba-address/ OTOH, Shay Doron rocks.
Isn't Joakim Noah a quarter Jewish or something? If his maternal line is Jewish (nope), and he is at all active in a synagogue (nope), he's 100% Jewish. It's not like being hapa-haole... which he is.
Matt: Baseball is much more hospitable to players of the Jewish faith. Major league Jewish players include: Kevin Youkilis Baseball is a great sport - you should pay more attention!
Matt - you also forgot that the NBA commissioner is Jewish.
Blah, Please tell me you've seen the video of Leary in the booth broadcasting at a Red Sox game, where he rips on Mel Gibson. If not, look it up now. It's hilarious.
I was getting-out-the vote in the Philly 'burbs yesterday PM when I got a frantic phone call from one of the higher-ups: If you're out after four DO NOT knock on a door that has a [the Hebrew word escapes me]. If you accidentally do so -- apologize profusely. My girlfriend asked what that call was out. "We gotta avoid houses with blood on the door. Residents might think we're the angel of death."
