Super!

Given the District of Columbia's large African-American population and the high educational attainment among DC whites, it's no surprise that Barack Obama won a crushing victory in the DC primaries, but she's doing well with our superdelegates.

The superdelegates have a moral obligation to save the latte-sipping black people from themselves.

The story is actually sort of kind of untrue:

Read this. The second add-on delegate was "initially" for Hillary but is hedging now because his ward did go 83% for Obama.
So he is considered undecided.

A "moral" obligation?

Or are you being obnoxious to make a point? If so what is it? I don't get it.

AKBY

I think it clearly was snark

obnoxious snark?

OK, OK, sorry for the offense people! It was poorly worded AND obnoxious snark. Was just trying to mock arguments that Obama voters don't know what they are doing and it is the superdelgates' job to rescue the party.

I liked commenter's joke

The Clinton lady has been reduced to a pronoun.

Benjamin, I was at least partially the source for DemConWatch's comments on Thomas, and I'm less convinced now that he should be considered undecided. I've heard some people say he told them he had switched to Obama, but then he told the City Paper that he was still for Clinton, and that's the only quote I've seen in the media. My suspicion is that he'll go whichever way the wind is blowing, and the wind will be blowing for Obama.

My suspicion is that he'll go whichever way the wind is blowing, and the wind will be blowing for Obama.

Well, my suspicion is (still) that it's not going to actually go to the convention, so they're all going to end up voting for Obama, but maybe not.

KC - do you think that he was leading people to think he was switching to Obama in order to get elected a delegate? That's kind of sleazy, if so.

John, it's more than kind of sleazy if it's true. I'm not sure it is, but I do know that more than one person I trust had the impression after talking to him that he was switching.
