We're now psychoanalyzing these fucktards? We're concerned that Petraeus is so "emotionally attached to Iraq" that he can't start a war with Iran?
Who are these morons?
Odierno is a jerkoff. Go back and read every word he was quoted as saying back in 2003. He's an idiot. He knows zip about COIN or anything else. And he's a dedicated liar, to boot.
The sole purpose of Petraeus being promoted is to prosecute a war on Iran. Period. Maybe they'll throw in Lebanon and Syria, too - maybe even Pakistan, since apparently Pakistani news media are reporting that they think the US is mulling a "direct attack" on Pakistan.
But Iran is definitely the next target - and Petraeus is the butt-boy Bush and Cheney need to carry that out.
And anybody who thinks that idiot understands COIN is himself an idiot. To understand COIN, you have to understand that you DO NOT DO COIN. If you have to do COIN, you have already failed at COIN.
It's practically Zen.
What they need is somebody who understands Fourth Gen War. And they don't have anybody like that - and they can't because nobody who thinks in terms of 4th Gen War would be functional in a conventional military. You cannot do 4th Gen War with a conventional military. It's the very antithesis of a conventional military.
Get ready for Iran - and Sadr in Iraq - to teach Petraeus and Odierno what 4th Gen War is about.
