We Wuz Robbed

Barack Obama's official line of state-specific Obama t-shirts doesn't include a DC for Obama shirt. Well that's fair, you say, as we're not a real state. But such other colonial entities as Guam and Puerto Rico have shirts.

That's not change you can believe in.

Maybe they thought it would be redundant. "DC for Obama" is like "Plants for Sunlight".

If it makes you feel any better, on my Arkansas for Obama shirt at the bottome, where there's a url for the state specific Obama web page it reads "alaska.barackobama.com" instead of "arkansas.barackobama.com"

That's change you can xerox.

This post is kinda dishonest because you left out this detail from the page you linked:
"Obama supporters in Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Nevada, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington and Wyoming also are getting the shaft from store.barackobama.com"

This is excellent news! For Hillary!!!

But Matt, are you standing in front of a lime green curtain, looking a little shaky & awkwardly smiling at odd intervals?

DC always gets the shaft!

Oops, accidentally hit post before I finished.

Here in Texas, I'd be a little afraid to wear an Obama shirt or have an Obama bumper sticker. I like the paint job on my car just fine, thank you.

What, you ingrates can't just wear the Maryland for Obama shirt? I mean, there's a real state nearby, why can't you just take pride in us, and live vicariously through OUR congressional representation?

SHAME ON YOU, BARACK OBAMA!

I mean, there's a real state nearby, why can't you just take pride in us...

Well, we've been to Maryland.

Well, if there were a "Washington for Obama" shirt, you could just wear that, except WA got shafted too.

It just goes to show you - Obama really is truly tired of Washington insiders.

Michael T Sweeney:
Not if your Congressional representation is Steny Hoyer.

I was more annoyed at the lack of a VA shirt. I’ve been waiting them to get there act to together on that, its swing state for crying out loud.

P.S.
You’d think if there was anything that people complaining on internet about could get accomplished you’d think it would be getting a couple t-shirts printed.

I'm from Nebraska, and I got the shaft too!

What I love is how engrained in the culture his tagline has become. I'm constantly hearing it, or variations of it on television and in my everyday world. A lot of time it's snark, but hey, that's OK. It's resonating.

why do you need an Obama shirt when you already got TOUGH JUICE?

Learn how to modify urls. :/

"Obama supporters in Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Nevada, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington and Wyoming also are getting the shaft from store.barackobama.com"

Oddly enough, Mississippi, Maryland, and Wyoming are in there with shirt images, but the other states listed are not. You can order shirts, but no picture on the website.

That's not change you can believe in.

Without the "my friends" in front it just sounds hollow. Why should I agree with you when you won't even acknowledge our non-existent personal relationship?

Actually, what bugs me is that apart from the state names and the URLs, the shirts are really generic. Couldn't they have at least put a guitar on the Tennessee one?

Maybe it's part of the Clinton outreach program. She insisted that DC didn't count, so maybe her moody and sensitive supporters would regard the t-shirt as a "slap in the face."

This is kind of a weird post man. As several others (including the site you linked to) noted, there are lots of states missing. Including at least a few swing-ish states. So what's with the "not change you can believe in" line? A sign of incompetence maybe, but it really doesn't seem like a snub.

I mean I apologize if this is all just snark and I'm missing it, but it definitely scans weird.

I need a "Germany for Obama" tee shirt. Maybe with a nice photoshop of Barack in Lederhosen chowing down on a few Wurst and enjoying a nice tall Hefeweizen.

Guam and Puerto Rico, but no Virgin Islands? We voted like 90 percent for him!

DC is also not represented in polster.com's presidential poll list. What gives?

Joe Klein:

Are you kidding? Steny's the man. He got us a new boathouse AND lead the unsuccessful fight to get it torn down!
