Foreign Policy Experience

20 Jul 2008 04:11 pm

Barack Obama displays the kind of outside shooting touch that Team USA desperately needs to crack the true zone defense utilitized in the international game:

They say we're going to start with a small ball lineup of Howard, Anthony, James, Bryant, and Kidd. Whether or not Carmelo at the four works depends on the matchups I guess. I would play Williams or Paul over Kidd to get their better shooting.

The final nail in the coffin of Senator Obamas' fake birth certificate is hammered in by a forensic document examination expert.

http://web.israelinsider.com/Articles/Politics/12993.htm

A few excerpts follow.

"Barack Obama may be on a world tour surrounded by a fawning media, but Sunday an expert in electronic document forensics released a detailed report on the purported birth certificate -- actually a "Certification of Live Birth" or COLB -- claimed as genuine by his campaign. The expert concludes with 100% certainty that it is a crudely forged fake: "a horribly forgery," according to the analysis published on the popular right-wing Atlas Shrugs blog. "

"The latest examinaton of the purported documents is by far the most detailed and technically sophisticated to date.

Atlas Shrugs publisher Pamela Geller reports that the expert analyst, who goes by the screen name "Techdude", is "an active member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, American College of Forensic Examiners, The International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners, International Information Systems Forensics Association -- the list goes on. He also a board certified as a forensic computer examiner, a certificated legal investigator, and a licensed private investigator. He has been performing computer-based forensic investigations since 1993 (although back then it did not even have a formal name yet) and he has performed countless investigations since then.""

""The (Daily) KOS image security border pattern does not match any known specimen from any known year. It does not match the pre-2006 nor does it match the post-2006 certificate patterns. The placement of the text in all of the pre-2006 and post-2006 certificates are almost identical pixel location matches while the image?s text placement does not match any known specimen from any known year. The shape and kerning of the fonts used in the 2006 through 2008 certificates are identical while the shape and kerning of the fonts used in the image does not match any known specimen. The KOS image shows clear signs of tampering such as the mismatch in RGB and error levels, visible indications of the previous location of the erased security border, easily detectable patterns of repeating flaws around the new security border, EXIF data that says the image was last saved with Photoshop CS3 for Macintosh, and finally a technician from Hawaii who confirms it just looks wrong." "

"Will Obama and his people continue to stonewall in the facing of the mounting evidence of forgery, and provide paper proof of an authentic, original birth certificate or even a genuine secondary Certificate of Live Birth? And will the mass media and mainstream pundits -- which so far have hesitated to touch the hot potato -- finally address the loaded issue of his possible unfitness to meet the basic Constitutional requirement for a President?

Perhaps the outspoken Israeli press corps will be able to do what their fawning American counterparts have failed to do so far. Obama's visit this week to Israel will be an opportunity to begin asking the tough questions -- however unpolitically correct -- about his apparently forged birth certificate and what that means for his citizenship status and Constitutional fitness to be the next leader of the free world. "

Clearly, unless Senator Obama can prove his eligibility, he ain't going to be occupying the oval office, no matter how many votes he gets in November, assuming he isn't ruled off the ballot in the interim.

I think leaving Tyson Chandler off the team is more of a mistake, myself. Who will bang with the international big men when Dwight Howard gets in foul trouble (which he will-ask Duncan about the FIBA refs in '04)?
I understand the impulse to put Tayshaun Prince on the team (although I think Chandler would be more important) but really, why do they need Wade?
He can't shoot outside, we've already seen in '04 and '06 that his game is relatively ineffective against the international zones, and the team already has 2 dynamic scorers in the shooting guard position (Redd and Kobe). I think they just put him on there because he's a 'name.' He did, after all, virtually win the Heat a title by himself. But the international refs won't put him on the line the way the American refs do, and if Paul/Williams should serve the penetrate-and-kick roll that we need from our guards well enough.
But anyways, to Matt's point: CP3 is no great shakes as a shooter, and Kidd has never lost an international basketball game, so I think it's alright that he gets a lot of minutes at the point. With Anthony, James, and Bryant, you have 3 players who are quite proficient at the shorter three point line, so I think we can deal with a little more experience and a little less shooting at the PG position.

I saw a McCain ad this morning. Curiously, one of the points criticized Obama for not having been to Iraq in years. If my girlfriend hasn't gone with me to a Batman movie for years, I can't very well criticize her while in line with me to watch Dark Side, can I?

Carmelo plays the 3, and LeBron plays the 4. At least that's what happened last summer.

I love that lineup. I think the faster Team USA plays, the better they'll be. I do have concerns about the depth up front. Howard is the only center. The other big men are Boozer, who's only 6-9 and not a great defender, and Bosh, who's really more of a finesse guy at the 4.

Please keep masturbating and spamming, you dumb pretend Jew.

Pam Atlas, a guy called "Techdude" (does he wear a mask and cape?), and the return of kerning -- that's a trifecta if I ever saw one!

Atlas Shrugs publisher...

Publisher? An overachieving turnip can start a blog. It doesn't make you a publisher.

OT by necessity: I feel privileged to have witnessed, indeed commented on, the ephemeral post titled "The Headling Suffices," during its brief, fragile existence. Like seeing one of those rare desert flowers that blooms only one night in a century, or a rainbow.

Sufficient unto the blog is the headling thereof, I suppose.

The "Obama birth certificate"-tards are absolutely my favorite kind of campaign '08 kooks - less pretentious than the PUMAs, less racist than the Larry Sinclair-ites. Also, utterly harmless. Not even Charles Johnson, slayer of the Dan Rather documents four years ago, believes their stupid shit.

One striking thing about the video is the reminder it provides about "who actually fights our wars and dies in them," as Chuck Hagel puts it.

Clearly, a lot of African-Americans.

It's puzzling that one doesn't hear this mentioned more often.

I think they just put him on there because he's a 'name.'

It would be interesting to see if team membership correlates more closely with something like PER or with endorsement money.

Live, what that the post Matt did on the FBI top 10 list that included 9/11? I saw it briefly, and that it had one comment on it at the time, but that post was pulled with the quickness.

Looks like someone has already gotten to Matt. Our operation has been compromised, gentlemen. Abort all currently running protocols and execute operation Neverending Troll.

It's hard to put 5 equally talented scorers on the court at the same time and make it work. It's a nice idea in practice but it's a very cranky machine that produces intense brilliance one night and flat garbage then next. See Pistons, Detroit.

I think you'll see a lot of Kidd, Prince, and Howard because they don't care if they score or not and are comfortable being complimentary players. Anthony looked good at PF in the FIBA Americas tournament last year so unless the opponent has a massive frontline Team USA should be good with it's "small" lineup.

Live, what that the post Matt did on the FBI top 10 list that included 9/11?

I'm not sure what your question is, but Matt linked to this (or to someone else blogging about it). Seemed like maybe he didn't get that it was Top Ten Moments in FBI History, not in History, Period.

Here's a little tidbit for Mixner. Money quote:

But after the Spiegel interview was published and began generating headlines Saturday, officials at the U.S. embassy in Baghdad contacted Maliki's office to express concern and seek clarification on the remarks, according to White House spokesman Scott Stanzel.

Later in the day, a Maliki aide released a statement saying the remarks had been misinterpreted, though without citing specific comments.

In Mixner's world, this means that Maliki didn't really say what he is recorded as saying. Maybe his fingers were crossed when he said it? To paraphrase Eric Cartman, "Mixner, lay off the cough syrup dude, I’m worried about you man. Seriously."

Re: SLC's BS.

Even if you were right (and you are not) about Obama's birth certificate, your certitude about this stopping Obama from being elected President is really funny. You see, the qualifications of the President are a nonjusticiable political question. The only body with the power to not seat the President is the Congress. And the Congress is controlled by Democrats.

So you will be able to whine about it for four or eight years if you wish, but it's not a serious threat to Obama.

What's really striking in the videos, though it should have been obvious all along to anyone who thought about it, is how much Obama resembles the troops. They looked pretty happy to see him, too.

Obama's mother's original Social Security Number Application

SLC is so desperate here, he's really lost it. He's now quoting the Atlas Juggs nut Geller relying on an anonymous dude.

And I'm relying on a blogger who is quoting a source who is a Certified Expert on Everything as measured by the Universal Association of All Like Experts & Stuff.

All things considered, "Hama Rules!" was much saner.

That said, let me please take a moment to express my greatest gratitude to SLC for letting me know of this "Atlas Shrugged" analyst who barely survived a mutilated rabbit attack.

This is going to be so awesomely awesome I don't know what to say. I'm simply beside myself in joyous anticipation of this guy's "more than 3000 words and 20 pages with extensive magnified illustrations and comparisons".

I cannot wait. This is gonna be awesome. I am simply stoked. Bless you, SLC. Bless you.

ok, if wanted to misinform people, would i start with.

2. people who are not on the net surfing on political blogs

troll don't want to convince anyone, because their strategy is all wrong, want they want is attention ............ which i am just giving them, damn

What a difference between that Obama footage & what we've seen of Bush's pre-staged troop-PR-ops. Even with a hand-picked crowd, Bush struggles to get the enthusiastic response he so clearly wants & needs. Although, to be fair, I'd be interested in knowing how involved the Obama campaign was in selecting the attending audience.

Btw, if I were the Obama team, I'd edit that footage of Barak -- surrounded by US troops, making that great throw -- down to a few seconds. Then, every rebutal TV ad made after that, would feature McCain's accusation, Obama's response & then that quick clip of Obama's shot. Swish, bitch! McPwned!

El Cid,

I you absolutely must use the word 'awesome' (& bold it), I have to insist you observe all internet traditions & precede it with "teh".

Thanks in advance for your co-operation.

Re Dilan Esper

"Even if you were right (and you are not) about Obama's birth certificate, your certitude about this stopping Obama from being elected President is really funny. You see, the qualifications of the President are a nonjusticiable political question."

Would Mr. Esper be so kind as to post a reference to this claim he is making. I'm not saying he is wrong. I would just like an opinion from a constitutional lawyer. For instance, take the following scenario. Somebody who is 30 years old runs for president and is elected. Is Mr. Esper saying that the House of Representatives could seat him even though he doesn't meet the requirement that eligibility for the POTUS requires one to have reached the age of 35 and thatthere would be no judicial recourse? If true, the law is indeed an ass.

Mr. El Cid is a poopy head.

I have created an animated GIF showing that with any known kerning it is impossible for this to be a real comment, thus I have no choice but to conclude this is a crude forgery!!!

Aw, I think the guys & gals here aren't being fair to Mr. SLC. When someone quotes Pam Geller for 3/4 of a longish post to support their point, it's gotta be parody, people!

That Mr. SLC calls Geller a "publisher", should be a dead give-away. Seriously.

Mr. SLC is obviously a brilliant parodist (or is it satirist? I always mix the two up), in the vein of Twain. You plebes aren't worthy to denigrate his wit. For shame.

In an obvious attempt to intimidate me, there was a dead bird by the side of the road not far from my house. But you should know that this will not deter me, it just makes me angry. And you wouldn't like me when I'm angry. You might not like me any ways. I'm just sayin'.

It would be interesting to see his profile on 'ri ch kis s.co m'. He has many nice pics there with his popular blog.

I cannot believe you people are questioning my qualifications as a genuine, certified verifier of electronic documents!! My credentials are right there in my screenname! Could I call myself TechDude if I were not able to verify actual electronic documents, such as this very blog entry, which I assert issued from the fingers of Matthew Yglesias? (I can tell by the font.)

"I have no choice but to conclude this is a crude forgery!!!"

No doubt it's even worse than that: it's a horribly forgery!!!

Of course, the documents indicating SLC is not on Megan's list were also crude forgeries. In fact, SLC has never presented such documents. Think of that what you will.

Apropos of nothing, I reckon if fish had vocal chords & the where-with-all to scream in pain, a lot less people would go fishing as a form of recreation.

On the flip side, I'd imagine a lot of republicans would pick up fishing as a hobby...

I can just hear McCain right now:

"Obama visited the US Colored Troops division that fought bravely at the Battle of Milliken's Bend in the Civil War. I remember that battle well as I served in the CSA regiment evacuating the Mississippi River. But Obama should really go out and visit some of the non-colored regiments."

SLC has really turned the bend into utter nonsense.

And he argues that I'm a bank robber, so I'm not credible!

Bwahahahahahahahahahah!!!

I could be a child molester like he accuses Scott Ritter of being and STILL be more credible than this Zionist freak show.

And "poopy head" - there's an insult that will really get me "riled up" (to quote Summer Glau, a Texas girl who is the only person I've ever heard use the phrase "riled up".)

Bwahahahahahahaha!!!

I think Atlas Shrugs and TechDude are correct. Read it for yourselves. How many of you are being paid by Obama? This is serious business, but you talk like high schoolers.

All of you are paid off by the solid core mafia. None of you have yet disproven the Hollow Earth theorists, and they know what they are talking about. Grow up!

Read it for yourselves.

I did, Chuck. It's about as sensible as you'd expect from an anonymous blogger who prefaces his report with weird allegations of threats against him.* It's incoherent nonsense based on a half-assed understanding of what Hawaiian documents look like and bad faith arguments about how jpeg resolution can blur things. Fun experiment - scan a dollar bill, then create low and high-quality jpegs of it, then zoom in on the same parts of both jpegs. The pixelation of the text and numbers looks different.

*First of all, who gets a dead rabbit nailed to their board or their tires slashed and doesn't take a picture? Second, the con man who accuses Obama of smoking crack and having gay sex with him actually released his current address. If that guy didn't get crazy threats, why would "Techdude"?

None of you have yet disproven the Hollow Earth theorists

Aha! Everyone knows that the "Hollow Earth theory" is a great lie perpetuated by the Reptilians and their puppet masters, the Shadow People. How do we know you're with them, El Cid? Show us your kerning!

Second, the con man who accuses Obama of smoking crack and having gay sex with him actually released his current address. If that guy didn't get crazy threats, why would "Techdude"?

Posted by Dave Weigel

Well, seeing as how that guy got arrested as his National Press Club event on outstanding warrants, that may not be the best inspiration to the rabbit-corpse victim TechDude.

(And are we sure that in his neighborhood, the neighbors weren't just sharing the bounty of the hunt?)

The "Obama birth certificate"-tards are absolutely my favorite kind of campaign '08 kooks

Not even close to the Paul-bots. Now, they were fun.

Re raff

1. For the information of Mr. raff, its Dr. SLC.

2. For the information of Mr. raff, I made no claims relative to Ms. Geller. I merely linked to an article in the Israelinsider and copy/pasted some excerpts therefrom.

Re Dave Weigel

A Google search on the terms Obama, 'birth certificate" turns up some 370,000 items indicating that this issue is of some interest. The only site I have cited in my many posts on this subject is the Israelinsider but evidently there are many others. The fact of the matter is that Senator Obama could bury this issue once and for all by producing a certified copy of his Hawaiian birth certificate, if it exists, but has thus far declined to do so. Thus, we are left with the evaluation of the images posted on Dailykos and the senators' web site, which are highly questionable to say the least.

For the information of Mr. raff, its Dr. SLC.

Use of a professional title outside of the context of one's own professional environment is tacky. Tacky, tacky, tacky.

Not one credentialed "expert" has vouched for the validity of obama birth certificates on either the Kos or obama web sites. Several responsible technical discussions on other websites build an excellent case for forgery of the existing certificates. DailyKos has admitted to altering documents. A valid paper copy of the birth certificate has never been produced even though obama claims, in his book, to have seen and handled one. Obamorobots have not debunked allegations - only dissed the messengers. This won't go away until citizenship is proven.

Re Tyro

Hey, I'm a tacky guy.

A Google search on the terms Obama, 'birth certificate" turns up some 370,000 items indicating that this issue is of some interest.

A google search for "CIA" and "AIDS" brings up more than 5.8 million items. This is proof positive that the CIA invented AIDS.

Not one credentialed "expert" has vouched for the validity of obama birth certificates on either the Kos or obama web sites.

No one's asked them, because only stupid people have questions about it. This is the same logic that Larry Sinclair's poor dupes use to "verify" his story - Obama's campaign hasn't responded, therefore Sinclair is telling the truth! More likely the Obama campaign is staffed with smart people who realize that responding to crazy conspiracy theories only feeds the kooks and justifies the smears.

And no actual expert who's not hiding behind a pseudonym would do a full document analysis on a JPEG. It'd be like Bill First diagnosing Terri Schiavo based on a videotape he say.

I have been looking very, very closely at my computer monitor on these comments and unless someone comes forth to prove me otherwise, I believe they were all actually written from inside my computer, perhaps by some sort of small, as yet undiscovered semi-literate creatures, otherwise how could all this writing from these supposed other people just 'magically' appear on some screen in front of me?

slc, it is irrelevant where Obama was born, John McCain was born in Panama and he is eligible. All that is required is that a person have one native born American citizen parent to be considered native born American. My two children were born in China but were given American birth certificates and passports. Essentially, everything you wrote was completely irrelevant even if it were true, which it isn't. Or are you claiming his mother is not American as well? Do you really think they are going to forge hospital records as well?
Next time, read about citizenship requirements before spout off.

To Mr. Weigel...
Obama's people have been asked to supply the written documentation upon which their (forged)document is based. They have not responded - even to us "stupid" people that have urged our state congressmen to followup. The fact that they avoid this simple request doesn't mean the posted certificate picture is a fake. It does mean that they wish to coverup the obvious and self admitted doctored documents. Guess I have a little problem with that since it is constitutionally mandated.

To Mr. Blackton...
Tisk Tisk.
You need to read other discourses on this topic instead of regurgitating what it sez on Kos or the other commy pages. The lady was a tramp (so to speak) and didn't stay in place long enough at her age to empart citizenship on BObuddie.

SLC, basically, yes. Of course, the Congress wouldn't seat such a person, and the major parties wouldn't run such a person, and the public wouldn't vote for such a person.

But yeah, if the political branches decided to seat him, under Baker v. Carr, the determination is "textually committed to another branch of government" (because the Congress certifies the results of the presidential election) and is thus nonjusticiable.

Re Dilan Esper

The trouble with Mr. Espers' opinion is that it is the Supreme Court that decides what is justiciable. In Baker vs Carr, better known as the one man, one vote decision, that's exactly what the court did. Thus, if it were determined that Senator was born in Canada and was not a natural born US citizen, there is nothing to stop the court from determining that a case brought to prevent his attaining the office is justiciable. Of course, I would admit that it is unlikely that the Rethuglicans would bring such a suit after the election because it would result in Senator Obamas' vice-presidential running mate attaining the office. Unless of course, by some as yet unforeseen circumstance, the Rethuglicans regain the Senate in November. If that were to happen, all bets are off.

McCain was born on a Military base, which is considered part of the USA.
If Obama was actually born in Aug. of 59' (not 61'), then he wouldn't meet the requirements... unless he was born on a military base.
That being said, I don't believe the year is the real issue here. I believe Obama is ashamed of his race. On the forged birth cert. it lists the race of his father as African.
#1. African is not a race
#2. Even though African-American is a common word used today, it was not used in the early 60's, negro or colored was used, in that era.
#3. It has been reported that Obama's father actually listed his race as Arab... this could be what Obama is hiding. After all, in today's political climate, a black man has a much better chance at getting elected over an Arab man.
