It's a Sabotage

In case you're wondering why the UN peacekeeping mission in Darfur doesn't seem to be accomplishing anything it's because member states have ponied up very few of the personnel, equipment, and money that they promised.

The Beastie Boys are doing peackeeping now?

We need to give the UN the power to levy taxes and then we wouldn't have this problem.

Unless, of course, the taxes were too low.

With the current climate for military intervention, why don't we just drop the pretense.

No one, absolutely NO one, is going to do anything at all about Darfur except whine. One of the tragic consequences of the Iraq fiasco appears to be the complete collapse of international will when it comes to military interventions of any kind, anywhere.

Fixed it for you (strikethrough tags don't seem to work here).
