Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH) says he "was proud to support" the Webb GI Bill that he, in fact, voted against. I like the inclusion of the pride point, since after all we can't really assess his subjective condition. Maybe when he voted against the bill he was secretly ashamed of himself (he should have been) and to him that means he was proud to support it. Something like that. After all, only shrill bloggers call people liars.

You, sir, are a shrill blogger, and a thinly veiled front for George Soros.
I think HAL might be complimenting you.
This does bring up an interesting point. It would be refreshing, at least, for a Congressman or Senator to put out a press release describing how ashamed he was to vote for some crappy piece of legislation that his party leadership or contributors were demanding.

Turner's district, it should be pointed out, is one where Obama can reasonably expected to pull about 46-49% of the vote. His opponent, Jan Mitakides, currently sports a decent 1:5 CoH ratio (i.e., if Turner has $500K in the bank, Mitakides has $100K). Now, she's run before, so I don't know if she's in her "second time's the charm" run or "rapidly becoming 'frequent candidate'" run.
