Another well meaning naive left winger who thinks that being nice to the Fakestinians will result in an agreement with them. Wrong. The Fakestinians don't understand nice. They only understand strength and the mailed fist. Nice has been tried and has failed miserably. The time is long past to get tough and apply Hama Rules. Maybe then they will get the message that the Government of Israel has no intention of going out of business.

I think their only chance for real influence is to make J Street the Democratic Jewish lobby and AIPAC the Republican Jewish lobby. I do think it's possible, but we're talking about a lot of money.
It will be interesting to see if Matt continues to allow SLC to post his racist comments after his blog moves over to its new site.

If Mr. Yglesias bans all the persons' who have the temerity to have an un-Kevin thought in their head, such interesting characters as Chris Ford, Richard Steven Hack, Trevor, etc. won't be around to provide amusement. The readers should take notice that Mr. Hameed has not addressed himself to the question as to whether he considers the late and unlamented Hafaz Assad an extremely violent criminal. The persons who he names haven't killed anybody or ordered anyone to be killed. Assad ordered the mass killing in Hama in 1982, which was carried out by his brother, Rafi.

1. It should be noted that Mr. Hameed has still not addressed himself to the question as to whether he considers Hafaz Assad a murderous criminal. One can only assume from his non response that he does not; apparently, when an Arab leader murders thousands of Muslims, that's okay in Mr. Hameeds' book.
2. Mr. Hameed neglected to name the two Jewish scholars in his last comment but I suspect that their names are Noam Chomsky and Norman Finkelstein, well known Jewish anti-Semites.
